From the Director

In the heart of the chaos sometimes called the Middle East lies the ancient city of Jerusalem, and high above it is Mount Scopus accommodating the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations.

There is no better location to study international politics, analyze it, and also lament it and dream for it. For students of international relations the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations‎offers a vibrant environment of research as well as a community of dedicated researchers. The institute offers a host of financial and academic resources to post-doctoral fellows, visiting researchers, and students and faculty of the university who study international relations. The institute organizes conferences and workshops and supports selected studies and is involved in many other activities.

With a tradition of over forty years of excellence in research, it is the volatile present and future that motivate us, and I welcome all of you who are interested in international politics to join us in the thrilling journey of understanding and explaining chaos from the midst of it.
