Ruthie S. Wenske is a literary scholar and Africanist whose research focuses on the intersection between literature and education. Her current research explores the evaluation of the educational system in Uganda, as part of a postdoctoral fellowship at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations and the Global International Development Program at the Hebrew University. She has previously taught African literature at the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Haifa, where she completed her PhD in 2016. She is currently engaged in two research groups: Africounters: An interdisciplinary workshop series focused on Africa; and Critical Development: Critical Multicultural Perspectives on Development.
