Dr. Itamar Dubinsky is a postdoc fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations and a lecturer in the African Studies Program at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. Between 2018-2022, he was a visiting assistant professor at Oregon State University, USA. His research focuses on sports and politics in various African contexts, the usage of sports to promote development initiatives, and Israel's sports ties with African countries from diplomatic, social, and cultural prisms. His latest book is Entrepreneurial Goals: Development and Africapitalism in Ghanaian Soccer Academies (University of Wisconsin Press, 2022).
