Post Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Toby Greene is an Israel Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow. His research and teaching interests include Israel’s international relations, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, British foreign policy, Islam and the West, and Foreign Policy Analysis. He was awarded his PhD from UCL and his book, ‘Blair, Labour and Palestine: Conflicting Views on Middle East Peace After 9/11’ (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013) was described as “an important contribution” by the LSE Review of Books. In 2015-6 he has was a Senior Goldman Fellow and adjunct lecturer in the Politics department at Tel Aviv University. Toby has a background in policy and political communications. He is the former Director of Research for BICOM (Britain Israel Communications and Research Centre) and was Head of Research for Labour Friends of Israel (UK). He has also worked on political campaigns in several European countries. His has provided analysis on Israel for the BBC, Sky News and ITN, and has published in many mainstream as well as scholarly publications. Toby holds a first class honours degree in Philosophy and Theology from Cambridge University.
